Who we are

School Nudge is run by Graham Hurst. I decide what data the app holds and how it is used. If you have any question about your data, email info@graphicsforcoaches.co.uk.

What we collect

School Nudge is for parents and carers. It is not meant to be used by children.

Newsletters you paste in

When you paste a newsletter or add a photo or PDF, it is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to find the dates. Your children's first names, school and year group go with it, so the AI can tell which dates are for which child. We don't keep the newsletter text or images. Only the dates you choose to save are stored.

Your calendar link

If you add School Nudge to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, your family's dates and your children's first names are available at a private link. Your calendar app collects them from there, and that company then keeps a copy under its own privacy policy. Anyone with the link can see the dates, so keep it to yourself. You can make a new link at any time in Family, then Your calendar, and the old one stops working straight away.

Why we use it

To run the app you signed up for: storing your dates and sending your reminders. We don't sell your data, we don't show adverts, and we don't share it with schools or anyone else.

Who handles it for us

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. You can do that any time in the app: go to Family, then Delete my account. If you are the last person in your family, all your family's dates go with it, straight away. If others are still in the family, only you are removed and they keep the calendar.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@graphicsforcoaches.co.uk. If you're not happy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
